Stuff for the last few days.

This past weekend’s service by Pastor Bob was good.  He spoke about Colossians.  He was talking about being compassionate, kind, humble, and patient, and some other stuff that right now I don’t remember.  That’s what I get for not posting until several days after the fact. Last nights Bible study covered Matthew 19.  We discussed [...]

Some Thoughts on a Friday

Praise and Thank God for overseeing the Atlantis mission, and for bringing the astronauts home safely–and for giving the astronauts the successes and abilities that they have gained over time. Now for something rather sombre:  There was a young man named Daniel who went to EBC.  This man was a man of God, as best [...]

Off with the Old, On with the New

This weekend’s message by Pastor Bob was about taking off the old nature and putting on the new.  He did an interesting illustration:  changing his business casual outfit to wearing a suit.  The old was probably comfortable, and the new spiffy outfit was probably a little less comfortable, but very good fitting and looking outstandingly [...]

Wanted: A Photographer To Apprentice Under

I am really hoping and praying that one or two of my connections with men at EBC will hook me up with a master photographer, one that will be willing to take me under his/her wing.  I really have the desire to develop my photography elementary skills to the next level.  I think I’d be [...]

Mrs. Ruth Graham: To her family

I read a story years back that Mrs. Graham and Rev. Billy Graham were praying for each other even before they met in person.  This was after Rev. Billy had a relationship with a young woman who he thought was to be his wife.  Rev. Billy, however, found his wife/helpmate with the aid of God. [...]

Thoughts of Being in Men’s Study Groups.

I really have good groups that I get together with for Bible Study and personal growth.  I just want to list them, as a way of saying, “Thank you, guys.” The first is the Monday evening Bible Study with Jim Dean.  Jim is an awesome teacher, and he really has a gift for teaching and [...]

Fullness of Christ

This weekend’s message by Pastor Bob was on having the fullness of Christ.  It is also called the fullness in Christ, and simply means that one is into Christ, and that you have Christ in you, and that it should fill you up.  No room for hate, lust, etc. The good news here is that [...]

Townhouse is back on the Market

My townhouse is, as of this afternoon, back on the market.  It’s a two bedroom, one bathroom, split level townhouse.  If anybody wants to check it out, contact Keller Williams Integrity realty at 651-203-1700.  (I think that’s the number.)  Dare I say, it’s in Coon Rapids.  I’ll give more details later.  Praise God, Tim, and [...]

Migraine, anyone?

I wound up spending the day with a headache and stomach issues, nausea, etc.  I think it’s the Niacin.  I also found out why–I didn’t take it with food last night.  I took it tonight, along with my normal meds, but I’m hoping that the healthy dose of generic Metamucil will be good enough to [...]

Now I will have more Niacin in my diet.

I went to VAMC this afternoon.  The doctor has expressed concern that my cholesterol is not where it should be.  Therefore, she has added Niacin (also known as Vitamin B-3) to try to bring my cholesterol to a manageable level. Which also means that I need to exercise more physically.  I need to start walking every [...]
