How do I write this blog on Living Together Vs. Marriage?

I’m actually torn about how to write this post.  This topic…living together versus the Godly state of matrimony…has so much conflict between modern culture and sectarian values that I am not in the know about how to actually write this. I know, culture has the way of turning out for the majority.  The question is: [...]

Elephant is where??? OH Shucks!

I’ve been following the Eagle Brook message series, “There’s an Elephant in this Room.”  The message for this particular weekend had some impact on me. It was called, “There’s an Elephant in the Basement.”  It brought up the discussion of sexual addictions.  The main item it addressed was pornography.  Pastor Bob spoke of all the [...]

Foreclosure Process has started.

I just got personally served with a foreclosure notice.  Apparently the Sheriff’s sale is on May 30.  I scanned and emailed a copy to the conservator.  He says that I can stay on the property until November.  There is a six month period of redemption that I have so that I have a chance to [...]

A few jabbering remarks.

I guess it’s going to be a quiet day for the rest of today.  At least this morning was productive. I met with the Rehab Services Counselor.  The next step for me is a complete vocational evaluation.  This means I get to do all sorts of tests and inventories and such.  It might be kind [...]

Unsure about the future.

I’m unsure about what the future holds for me.  I have had some excellent advice from the conservator.  I feel somewhat confident like everythings going to be fine.  But I still have some stuff that I feel will need to be resolved.  There’s a gentleman that I wouldn’t be super averse to re-establish normal friendship [...]

An Update about Johnny for 10 April 2008

I had reached a point where I needed to make a decision as to if I was going to stay here, paying a load of money that could be better used for more Godly purposes; or if I was going to choose to seek other housing arrangements. Ocwen Mortgage offered me a deal to knock [...]

Contentment; or the lack thereof.

I know that I’m supposed to be content whatever the circumstances.  The fact is: I am not fully content yet. I’m thinking that I am knocking on several doors that will or will not open in the time I want, if at all.  The doors are job, relationship, a different residence then the one I [...]

A comparison

Can you identify with this a little bit? I feel like the guy in the “Everybody Loves Money” commercial message from Comcast.  This guy is so personable, has a big smile on his face, and he says hello and receives lots of hellos back.  Another equivalent is the character “Norm” in the Cheers television show.  [...]

Yea! It’s April.

Maybe I should have posted here yesterday.  I’m happy that the freak snowstorm is gone, and that all the snow will be off the ground until later this year…much, much, later. OK, so we got the rainy season coming up.  At least we’ll get some much needed moisture to have green lawns and help out [...]
